The territory of Nanda Devi is dotted by some of the magnificent mountain peaks of the Himalayan Ranges like Dunagiri (7,066 meters), Changbang (6864 meters), Kalanka (6,932 meters), Rishipahar (6,992 meters), Trishul I and II (7,210 meters & 6,319 meters), Mrigthuni (6,565 meters), and Bethartoli Hemal (6,352 meters). Here you can feel divinity as you have an encounter with the most revered mountain goddess, Nanda Devi. Nanda Devi has omnipresence in Garhwal Himalayas. Moreover, Nanda Devi, recognized as one of the high altitude national territorial parks of the world, is marked by rare species of Himalayan fauna and flora. Rare Himalayan animals include musk deer, snow leopard, monal pheasant and a large gathering of birds and butterflies. You can be a part of this fascinating experience right from Kuari Pass Trek, which begins at one of the finest winter time ski slopes in Asia known as Auli. The entire trekking route covers meadows and dense forest comprising of oak and cedar trees. Once you have an adventurous trek on the high pass Kuari (4,268 meters) you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking view of Mount Nanda Devi.
Day 1: Arrive Rishikesh
The journey begins at Rishikesh where you have an overnight stay in a hotel or a beautiful peasant’s cottage. Once dinner gets over, you will be briefed about the trek and will be intimated with the crew.
Day 2: Rishikesh – Joshimath
Drive to Joshimath after having an early morning breakfast. The driving route is marked by the scenic beauty of Alaknanda River. En route you can halt at beautiful places like Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karanprayag, and Nandaprayag. The last one is the most famous of five confluences (Panch Prayag) of Alaknanda River in Garhwal Himalayas; at Nandaprayag Alaknanda meets the river Nandakini. Have your dinner and stay for a night in a Joshimath hotel.
Day 3: Joshimath – Auli
While you are camped at Joshimath you have the opportunity to visit Shankaracharya Temple and other popular areas of Joshimath. Have your lunch and trek to Auli. Once you arrive at Auli camp there, have you dinner and go for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Auli – Tali
Next morning enjoy beautiful sunrise over fascinating Nanda Devi peak. Complete breakfast and trek to Tali through the meadow which has a gradual climb. Camp at Tali and have meals during your overnight stay at the camp.
Day 5: Tali - Kuari Pass Base
Have your breakfast and trek to the base of Kuari Pass.
Day 6: Kuaripass Base - Kuaripass – Khulara
Start negotiating Kuari pass after having your morning breakfast. Enjoy the beauty of the peaks of Greater Himalayas and trekking down Khulara village. Camp at the village and have dinner in the camp where you will be lodging for the night.
Day 7: Khulara - Tapovan – Badrinath
This day is marked by full-day trekking and excursion to Mana, the last villages that lie on the Indo-Tibet border. Have an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8: Badrinath
Have an overnight stay at a hotel in Badrinath.
Day 9: Badrinath – Rudraprayag
Have your breakfast and drive to Rudraparayag and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Rudraprayag - Rishikesh Drive: 5-6 hrs
After morning breakfast drive to Rishikesh, the last stop of the tour.
