Day 1: Delhi/Leh
In the early morning get transferred to domestic airport to board a flight to Leh (3505 meters). On arrival check into the hotel for overnight stay and acclimatize yourself wit the climate of Leh.



Day 2: Leh
In the morning take a tour of the Indus Valley Monastery and visit Shey Palace, which is the old capital of Ladakh. The large copper gilted statue of Sakyamuni and the huge silver lamps burning are the points of attraction. Take a visit of the famous temple Thiksay Gompa, a building complex built on a crag that is settled in multiple tiers above the village. This temple has a large image of Maitreya Buddha and it has been dedicated to His Holiness Dalai Lama in the year 1980. Drive to visit Hemis Gompa built by the Stag-tsang-ras-pa in the decade of 1630’s. It has its name as one of the largest and exquisitely rich gompas of Ladakh constructed under the royal patronage of Sengge Namgyall Hemis. Its reputation rests on the monastic dance festival which is a two days affair in the month of June-July. Moreover, the festival has been dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava. The royal residence to the king of Stok known as Stok Palace & Museum is the next place to be visited. It has a museum which is a storehouse of ancient artifacts of Ladakh like old Thankas, valuable stones, necklace of the queen, crown of the king and royal arms and armory. Stay for a night at the hotel.



Day 3: Leh
In the morning take a tour of Sankar Gompa, Shanti Stupa and famous Leh Palace. Explore the market in the afternoon and have an overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 4: Leh/Chuma-Thang
Cover a distance of 140 kilometers as you drive to Chuma-Thang in the morning. This place is well-knows for its medicated hot water springs that have been frequented by Ladakhis to get treatment for body pains and aches. The villages of Nurnis, Kery and Kadgam fall on your route. The unique aspect of jeep drive in this part of Indus Valley is characteristically marked by flatness without much of uphill or downhill drive. Have an overnight stay in tents



Day 5: Chuma-Thang/Sumdo
Drive to the village Sumdo in the morning. On the way you will come across Mahe Bridge. From this place the road, on the southern bank of the river, leads to unmetalled road which runs along Puga stream. This road connect Sumdo village from Mahe. The drive entails traveling on a narrow mountain gorge vegetated with green bushes. After checking into a camp at Sumdo visit the monastery of Sumdo reputed for its well-preserved paintings. Have an overnight stay at the tented camp.



Day 6: Sumdo/Karzok
In the morning drive to the sole village Karzok, lying in proximity to Lake Tsomoriri and situated at an altitude of 4,572 meters. You will have an interesting journey as you travel the rocky roads and sandy deserts while traveling from Sumdo to Tsomoriri. Up to Namshang-La one has to travel on a zigzag path. After that the drive to Thasang Tso is on a smooth descent. Thasang Tso is a beautiful turquoise lake that looks like a piece of emerald in the necklace of the queen. Just before Tso-moriri you come across a tiny green valley of wild Marmots, locally called as Phya. On arrival at the Karzok village check in at the camp. In the afternoon you are free to explore Korzok, a settlement enjoying an approximate population of 500 people in the Rupshu region. It is situated at a height of 15,000 feet (4572 meters). The barley fields of Korzok feature among the high altitude cultivation fields in the world. Korzok monastery with its dimly lit prayers halls is a must visit. Spend a night in the tent.



Day 7: Karzok
Explore the village and areas around the Tso-moriri Lake throughout the day. Tso-moriri Lake is a breathtakingly beautiful freshwater lake in Ladakh which has a sacred value attached to it. The lake is enclosed by spectacular peaks of Mt Mentok and Mt Kharlung on the right and Mt Kurchu and Mt Lungser on the left. The lake is frequented by several species of birds like Bar Headed Goose, Great Crested Grebe and Brahmini Duck. Have an overnight stay at the camp.



Day 8: Karzok/Tsokar
Drive to Tsokar via Puga in the morning. You can cover 75 kilometers distance within three to four hours. Tsokar Lake or White Lake lies at an altitude of 4485 meters. The white salt deposit has given the lake its name. The lake lies at a distance of 45 kilometers on the north-western side of the Tsomoriri Lake. The salt collected from the banks of the lake is sold all across Ladakh. Stay for a night in the tents.



Day 9: Tsokar/Leh
Have a morning drive to Leh via Thukje Gompa. Take the route of Manali-Leh highway and to reach Leh drive along Tanglang-la (5224 meters), the second highest motorable roads found in Ladakh. Drive past the villages of Rumtse, Gia and Meeru on your way. On arrival check into the hotel of Leh for an overnight stay.



Day 10: Leh
Engage in independent activities for an entire day at Leh. Enjoy on spot folk dances of Ladakh in the evening. Have an overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 11: Leh/Delhi
Next morning drive to Leh airport to reach Delhi by flight.
